2005 Porsche Boxster For Sale

$15,500 OBO

I am selling my 2005 Boxster, which has a 5-speed manual transmission and excellent 2.7-liter flat-six engine. Next to an NA Miata, this is the least potent sports car I have owned, but much like that Miata, it is one of the most fun-to-drive cars I’ve ever had. I’ve owned the car for over four years, a lifetime in my vehicle-ownership history, and it is time to move on to a new experience.

The car is mostly stock, with the only modifications being a Kenwood stereo that provides Apple Carplay and Bluetooth functions, a Numeric shifter and Numeric shift cables, tinted headlight film, and Starke 19-inch wheels. I do not have the original radio or wheels as they did not come with the car when I purchased it.

Under my ownership, I have addressed the maintenance and service issues the previous owners ignored and brought the car to where it should be mechanically. Porsche experts did all the work at Ralph’s Auto Service in Maryland, and after I moved to Nashville, TN, at German Performance Options. I have all the paperwork for service items under my ownership, which include:

Power Steering Hoses, Belt Idler and Tensioner pulley, IMS bearing (LN Engineering), Air/Oil Separator, All four brake rotors pads and sensors, Coolant distribution pipe, thermostat, water pump, Oil filler tube, Coolant Expansion tank and sensor, Front struts and tie rods (the rears have less than 40K miles on them), All four tires, The convertible top, Clutch kit and flywheel, Rear Main seal, Power steering reservoir, Intake manifold gasket and breather hose, Spark Plugs, Ignition Coils, and Air Filter.

After addressing these issues, the car runs great but still has a few scuffs and chips on the nose and hood. Due to these imperfections, I judge it as #4 on Hagerty's valuation scale. A  little paint and bodywork on the car's front end will easily move it to a #3. It is a fantastic car to drive, and the Numeric shifter makes all other manual transmissions I've driven feel rubbery and imprecise. I have the full Carfax and can email the PDF to anyone interested.
